What size should the quilt be?

There is no size specification. There are a lot of babies in the Duke pediatric cardiac unit, so baby quilts are mostly needed. However, the pediatric unit goes all the way up to teenagers, so a bigger quilt for toddlers, bigger kids, and teenagers are also needed.

What fabric should I use?

Cotton fabric is preferred. Polyester can get too hot for some cardiac kids.

What Pattern Should I Use?

A patchwork quilt with squares is great, or you can browse past quilts to see what was made in the past.

Who will receive the quilt I donate?

The quilts are brought into the Pediatric Cardiac Unit at Duke University and hand delivered to the staff on the unit. The staff will deliver the quilts to children in the ICU and children in the step down unit.
